Students participating in Sorority Recruitment are able to participate in required functions. We have coordinate with Fraternity & Sorority Life to ensure your participation.

  • 12:30- 4:30 pm- Welcome Tables and Color Group Bracelet Making (come and go)Campus Commons
    • Stop by our welcome tables in the Commons to learn more about the Frogs First schedule of events and make a color group bracelet to represent your team!
  • 12:30-1:30 pm- Dip In Dot Out with TCU Wesley- Campus Commons
    • Meet TCU Wesley and get Dippin’ Dots to beat the heat!
  • 12:30-2:00- Frogs First Free Climb- Recreation Center
    • Join us at the Rock Wall to learn how to climb, listen to music, and make new friends. No experience or registration required, climbers of all ability levels welcome.
  • 1:00-2:00 pm- How Do You View Your TCU Experience? Design It!- Center for Career and Professional Development, The Harrison, Suite 1100
    • You are here, now what’s next? Unsure where to begin or the direction to head to make the most of your college experience? Join us to engage in a fun and creative process where YOU design YOUR unique TCU experience. An introduction to life design thinking through a facilitated group activity where students will ideate about what they want their TCU experience to look like; thereby, creating their own unique College view they can refer to for guidance over the next four years.
  • 2:00-3:00 pm – Snow Cones with Student Success- Samuelson Courtyard (by TCU Post Office)
    • Join us for Snow Cones with Student Success, where you can chill out with refreshing treats while discovering the awesome programs and opportunities at the Student Success Center. Dive into a world of fun and learning as you connect with new friends and explore ways to thrive academically!
  • 3:00-4:00 pm- Frogs First Cycle- Recreation Center
    • Learn about our free group fitness classes by participating in one of our most popular classes- group cycle. Register on Guidebook today!
  • 3:00-5:00 pm- Frogs First Service Project- BLUU- Beck & Geren
    • Make new friends and learn about how to get involved in the Fort Worth Community while making hygiene kits for those in need.
  • 4:00-5:00 pm- Self-Protection Workshop- Recreation Center
    • Come learn basic skills of self-protection and discuss safety awareness. Work at your own pace, no experience required. Attire is casual or gym wear. Register on Guidebook today!
  • 5:00-6:00 pm- Gaga Ball with Baptist Student Ministry- KFCB Lawn
    • Join the Baptist Student Ministry for a game of Gaga Ball.
  • 7:00-8:00 pm- Women’s Soccer Game – Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium
    • Cheer on our Horned Frogs at the first soccer game of the season!
  • 8:30-10:00 pm- *Frogs First Kick Off- Campus Commons
    • Meet in the Commons for a night of dancing, fun, and FOAM! This event will include: Back to School Bash with theCrew, a Frog Camp Reunion, and our Foam Drop Dance Party! (Required)
  • 8:00- 9:00 am- Sunrise Yoga at Frog Fountain
    • Start your day off with sunrise yoga at Frog Fountain, try out our group fitness yoga class. Bringing your own yoga mat is highly encouraged, but not required. Register on Guidebook today!
  • 9:00-12:30 pm – Pops and Refreshments with International Christian Fellowship- Campus Commons
    • Join us for drinks, popsicles, and cultural snacks! Get to know new friends both international and local and learn about new cultures.
  • 9:30-12:30 pm- Frogs First Paddle- Meet at the Outdoor Center in the Rec
    • Get active in the Fort Worth community by paddle boarding. Transportation from TCU is provided. Limited spots by sign-up only. Register on Guidebook today!
  • 10:00-11:00 am – Paint Party with Chi Alpha- Jarvis Hall Lawn
    • Come paint a canvas or tote bag! Join us to let your creativity flow, meet new people, and make some decor for your new room!
  • 11:00-12:00 pm- Cookies and Colleges- BLUU Auditorium
    • Get to know your academic department and ask any questions you may have! For more information on which colleges will be available, visit Guidebook.
  • 12:00-1:00 pm – Planting Your Roots at TCU- Intercultural Center
    • Join fellow first-year and transfer Horned Frogs in planting seeds in your very own flower pot and nurturing it during your time at TCU. A great way to begin growing your roots at TCU!
  • 12:00-1:00 pm – Meet & Greet with The Center for Languages and Cultures- Scharbauer Hall 3004
    • Join The Center for Languages and Culture for refreshments, door prizes, and fun!
  • 1:00-3:00 pm- Meet Fort Worth- Beck & Geren
    • Learn about your new home in Fort Worth through a virtual tour of the cultural, historical, entertainment, and food scenes of Fort Worth followed by bingo and prizes including gift cards to local eateries and admission to museums.
  • 1:00-3:00 pm- Howdy Frogs- TCU Wesley (2750 W.  Lowden St.)
    • Meet TCU Wesley for treats and a big Horned Frog welcome to Fort Worth.
  • 2:00-4:00 pm – Life Size Monopoly with Leadership and Experiential Learning- BLUU Auditorium
    • Learn about our Leadership and Experiential Learning programs through an interactive, life-sized game of Monopoly!
  • 3:00-4:00 pm- Learn to Line Dance with the TCU Twisters- Recreation Center
    • The perfect way to welcome you to Fort Worth is learning how to line dance. Come learn how to line dance with the TCU Twisters!
  • 3:30-5:00 pm- Rainbow Round-Up with LGBTQ+ Resources- Intercultural Center
    • Kick off the semester with an afternoon of fun games, creative vision-building for your first semester, and the chance to meet members of our vibrant campus community. Whether you’re new to campus or a returning student, this is a great opportunity to connect with LGBTQ+ Resources and make new friends. All are welcome!
  • 4:00-5:30 pm- Afternoon Tea- Champions Club in Amon G. Carter Stadium
    • The Afternoon Tea is a celebration for incoming TCU women and will be a time of conversation, delicious treats, building your own bouquet, and high tea. This event gives new students an opportunity to connect with other students, faculty, and staff and celebrate their new beginning at TCU.
  • 5:00-6:00 pm – Chi Alpha Dodgeball- Campus Recreation
    • Join us for a game of dodgeball! Come to compete or just hang out and meet new people!
  • 6:00-7:30 pm – Kona Ice with Reformed University Fellowship- Sand volleyball courts
    • Even frogs have to cool off sometimes! Join RUF for FREE Kona Shaved Ice, sand volleyball, and yard games! Pop by for a minute or stay to play!
  • 6:15-7:15 pm- Why I Wear my Letters- Campus Commons
    • Join NPHC and MGC as they showcase their chapters.
  • 7:30-9:00 pm- *Frogs First Pep Rally with TCU Athletics- Amon G. Carter Stadium
    • You won’t want to miss TCU Athletics and Marching Band host our Frogs First tradition: the Class f 2028 class photo and pep rally! Be sure to wear purple and show your Horned Frog spirit! This event is required.
  • 9:00-10:00 am- Class Schedule Walk Throughs- BLUU Union Grounds
    • Feel confident about navigating to your classes on the first day of school by attending our class schedule walkthroughs (come and go). Upper division student leaders will walk you to your class locations and give you some helpful tips in navigation around campus.
  • 11:00 am-12:00 pm- *Need 2 Know- Schollmeier
    • Join the Need 2 Know program to get tips on making smart choices for your well-being and success while at TCU. Hear from campus representatives about the resources and support available to help you thrive throughout your college journey. This event is required.
  • 1:00-4:00- *Involvement Fest (I-Fest)- Campus Recreation 
    • Interested in getting involved on campus? Meet the various clubs and organizations that TCU has to offer. This event is required.
  • 1:00-2:00 pm- Riff Ram Red Color Group Activity 
    • Calling all members of Riff Ram Red, join your team for FUN! The color group with the most attendance will earn points for their team!
  • 2:00-3:00 pm- Lickety Lickety Lime Color Group Activity
    • Calling all members of Lickety Lickety Lime, join your team for FUN! The color group with the most attendance will earn points for their team!
  • 3:00-4:00 pm- Bah Zoo Blue Color Group Activity
    • Calling all members of Bah Zoo Blue, join your team for FUN! The color group with the most attendance will earn points for their team!
  • 3:00-4:00 pm- Transfer Frog Walk & Popsicles- Grandmarc
    • Meet fellow transfer Horned Frogs and take a walk through campus while enjoying come cool treats.
  • 4:00- 5:00 pm- Commuter Connections- Beck & Geren
    • Connect with other commuter students, faculty, and staff who are here to support you throughout your time at TCU. This is an opportunity to learn about the resources available to you and to ask any questions you have about your Horned Frog journey. We are looking forward to connecting with you soon.
  • 4:00-6:00 pm- *Welcome to Your Community!
    • Join your new residential community welcome meeting to meet your Resident Assistant (RA) staff and your Hall Director (HD). Your hall director will host a meeting about hall traditions to share what makes your new home special. You will learn about our residential hall policies and procedures that provide guidelines to ensure all residents are having a positive living experience. Lastly, the RA staff will share their role in supporting you in your community and answer any questions you may have. These welcome meetings are required for all community members living in TCU Housing. This event is required for first year students who live on campus.
  • 6:35-7:45 pm- *Family Dinner (TCU Students, Faculty, and Staff Only)Various Locations
    • Now you are part of the Horned Frog family, take part in a Frogs First tradition. Family Dinner brings TCU staff, faculty, and students together for an evening of fun. Dinner is provided. This event is required.
  • 8:00-8:30 pm *Chancellors Assembly- Schollmaier
    • Hear Chancellor Boschini welcome the incoming Horned Frogs. This event is required.
  • 8:30-10:00 pm- *Campus Commons Celebration
    • Don’t miss out on the fireworks, music, treats and more as Frogs First 2024 comes to a close. This event is required.
  • 11:00am- 12:00pm- Frogs First Worship- Robert Carr Chapel
    • Frogs First Worship is an ecumenical worship service for all students and a chance to meet TCU Campus Ministers! Lunch following the service.
  • 12:00pm- Frogs First Faith Feast-  Various Locations

    • Join us for the TCU football programs annual Meet the Frogs Event where you have the opportunity to meet Coach Dykes, the football team, and get autographs.
